Khayal is a project in process of initiation by Parindey in partnership with RESIP, that aims to raise and promote the mental health awareness in Pakistan. The team heals community by providing creative therapies and aims to use arts and culture as their tool to serve humanity. Team Parindey has partnered with Kollage – Community Impact Accelerator to conduct street theaters, parents and teachers sessions, art therapy sessions to provide a platform and easy reach to community and help them to come out of stress.
Sonal, who grew up in Karachi and received her Master’s degree in Marketing at the Iqra University, thought she would spend her career as a Marketer, only to discover after an internship that it wasn’t her calling and that she was interested in making a tangible impact in her country.
Sonal Dhanani is an educator and facilitator keen on promoting volunteerism and social action in her community through various programs. Sonal aims to expand her work into Northern and Southern Pakistan to channel energies of youth in underprivileged areas in productive ways. Sonal is the fellow of 2016 Atlantic council fellowship called “Emerging Leaders of Pakistan”. She is currently leading Parindey which focuses at healing communities through creative therapies. Sonal uses arts and culture as her tool to serve the humanity.
